From Dr. Tang’s research group: “We are interested in the early dietary impact on infant development, including growth, gut microbiota, immunity, sleep behaviours and neurodevelopment. Our group discovered that sources of protein-rich foods differentially impact infant growth trajectories and the risk of overweight. We are currently conducting several infant feeding studies to investigate the dietary impact such as protein-rich foods and certain fruits on the risk of overweight, gut microbiota, immunity and sleep. We are also interested in bioactive compounds in whole foods and their impact on gut microbiota and inflammation in adults. We receive funding from the NIH, USDA and non-profit foundations.”
